  • 7th Graders
  • 8th Graders

High School (Must be at least 13 years old):

I do not attend AWANA, can I still come to camp?

YES! We do not require participation in AWANA to come to camp. We do however ask that Campers come to camp ready to participate in Camp. Participation in all bible lessons, activities, chapel, and bible verse card memorization/recitation is mandatory.

I have not finished my AWANA book this year, can I come to camp?

YES! As we do not require active participation in AWANA to attend camp, your book completion status is not a deciding factor on coming to camp.

What happened to High Sierra Scholarship Camp?

High Sierra Scholarship Camp was founded in 2007 to continue the legacy and tradition of AWANA Scholarship Camp after AWANA ceased operations of it’s summer camps. In 2023, High Sierra Discipleship Camp was founded to provide a Camp for all youth seeking to grow their relationship with Christ, not just those campers who participate in the AWANA program. While we are technically not affiliated with High Sierra Scholarship Camp, we will provide the same camp experience of Discipleship and Spiritual Growth, but without the requirement to be involved in AWANA.

Will camp at HSDC be the same as camp at HSSC?

For the most part, the day-to-day at camp will be the same, we will still worship, play games, learn about God and His Word, memorize verses and fellowship with like-minded believers. Leading up to camp, we expect things to be a little different as we are working hard on improving processes, such as implementing online camper registration, and the ability to pay by Credit Card, Apply Pay, or Google Pay.

Can I still pay by check?

Sure, if you would like to pay by check, you can select that option during the online registration process and you will be sent details on where to send your check. If you would prefer to also apply via a paper form, please Contact Us and we would be more than happy to send you the information.

How can I donate to Camp’s ministry?

Yes! You can give either a one time donation, or a recurring donation here. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity and any donations are Tax Deductible on your personal taxes.
